December 2006, Franklin's music was featured on the Winter 2006 (Issue #21) of Penstock Productions multimedia publication LVM Video. Movie Force was featured on the Ashlu Update - The Range Life segment.

October 7, 2006, Franklin performed a benefit concert at the inauguration of the S. Ubez Educational Foundation in Durham, NC. The foundation provides educational opportunities to students in rural communities in Nigeria.

October 22, 2005, Franklin opened for U.S. Fingerstyle Champion Pat Kirtley at the Art Of Sound Music Festival in Shelby, NC.

October 15, 2005, Franklin's Motive Force CD is now on the playlist on Rich LaPenna's Aerial Boundaries fingerstyle guitar radio show on WSLR 96.5 FM from Sarasota, Florida.

July 11, 2005, Music from Franklin's CD Motive Force was featured on "The Jeans Generation" radio show from Sarejevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

May 20, 2005, Franklin won an ARTSY award for Achievement in Music - Instrumental category for his CD Motive Force. This award is presented to outstanding local visual and performing artists by the Lewisville Area Arts Council, Davie County Arts Council and the readers and staff of the Villager Voice Magazine (Clemmons, NC).

October 15, 2004, Franklin will performing live in the studio of WGWG FM 88.3 Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, NC in conjunction with the Art of Sound Music Festival in Shelby, NC on Saturday, October 16, 2004.
